Simple Dialer Widget 1.5.2
Simplistic app
The app doesn't really have an interface, just a page where you can customize the widget and make it your own. It's quite simplistic on its own and provides you with almost no instructions, only a tip after installing it. All you need to do is find the widget and place it on the desired screen.
It would be useful for developers to mention the name of the widget, since the icon doesn't match the layout. Once you've placed it on the screen, it opens the settings menu and you start customizing the widget on your screen.
Customize the widget
There are many options for customizing the widget. You may change the color of the header background, the icon and the main background. In addition, you can adjust the hue, saturation and value of colors used for text and separators. Text size of dialer digits can also be adjusted together with the size of the call icon.
Have the app show the dialer or contacts tab. There's also the option of displaying the call log, adjusting the date format and size, as well as number of entries. It even displays pictures of contacts and you can select a default image for those that don't have one.
Place calls directly from your home screen
The app makes it easy place calls directly from your home screen without opening the default dialer. It has three tabs, the first with the keyboard, the second with your call log that displays the time and date of last placed calls, and the third with your agenda.
The 'hamburger' icon on the bottom left side provides you with many more options. You can add a contact, send a text, call voicemail or configure the widget. Still, the app has some shortcomings. It takes a while to add last placed calls to the log and doesn't offer support for lock screen.
