Intuitive UI with few features
The app has an intuitive layout in the now classic Android style with the menu on the left side of the screen and a search bar at the top, but it doesn't have auto-fill suggestions. The app is filled with all sorts of ads, including banner and full screen. In addition, pop-up video ads will surely bother you and make the app less fluent. There are plenty of instructions and a tutorial that you can check out.
Browse through various recipes
All recipes are divided into categories, making it easy to browse through them. But, there are no subcategories or the option to search by ingredients in your fridge. The title of recipes doesn't always fit the screen so you'd have to open them to read the entire title.
Still, recipes come with ingredients and clear instructions on how to cook them. There are plenty of categories to choose from, including diabetic friendly dressings and hot salads, but you should be patient as the app takes its time with loading them. In addition, the app comes in various languages to choose from.
Some shortcomings
There are many salad recipes out there and they come with all sorts of features and tools to help you cook faster and easier. Some features have become a mandatory requirement for any such app, but Salad Recipes is missing a unit converter, as all measurements are in the imperial system.
A comments section would also be nice, as users could rate the dish and bring their own contribution. Still, you can favorite recipes but they won't be available offline, like the shopping list is. The app provides a detailed nutritional data chart for each dish, which not many other apps do.
