Safe Notes 1.9.20131025
There are many such applications on the market, a neat one that you can try is Safe Notes. It's quite simplistic but in a good way, since it does provide users with everything they need packed in an intuitive interface to make it easy to create notes.
Fluent design with plenty of features
The app doesn't really come with a tutorial or instructions, but you wouldn't really need them since it sports a pretty intuitive UI with lots of features at hand. The home screen it neat, displaying all of your notes but it doesn't use material design.
Settings and sections aren't arranged into a side menu, but rather in an overflow icon on the top right corner of the screen. The UI is a bit dated, it could use a bit of an upgrade. The app doesn't come with any customization features, although some themes would have been nice.
Create all sort of notes
Users can change the color of the note, pick from yellow, blue, white, pink or light green. You can also switch between day and night mode, or adjust the size of your font. It lets you use checklists or share notes with your friends if you wish.
You can also add reminders for notes, select the date and time when you want the app to remind you of them. Add as many words as you like to a note and the app displays the date and time when notes were created. Safe Notes also syncs with Google Task, but you'll have to register your Google email for that.
Protect your notes
Create a lock pattern to keep your notes safe from prying eyes, you can make the pattern invisible or enable the super password. In case you forget the pattern password you can create a back-up password so that you wouldn't lose your notes.
However, it would have been nicer if the app let you register with an email address or choose a security question and answer. Still, the feature is useful and needed but it could use some improvements.
You can also enable the random note color tool and make things more interesting. Safe Notes lets you export text files .txt to your SD card if you wish. The app comes with some really annoying banner ads which you can remove if you upgrade to the premium version for 1.09$.
