RunKeeper 5.0.3
Simplistic interface that makes it easy to track workouts
The main purpose of this app is to track your workout and provide you with tips on how to reach your goal. The interface is sleek and manages to incorporate many features, while still remaining clean and unclogged.
A tutorial will show you how to navigate in the app and use features that it provides. Lock screen controls are available and the app lets you make some settings to your profile. Sign up with Facebook, Google or email to create an account and benefit from all tools found inside the app.
Track your workout
The app doesn't come with a menu, only sections at the top of the screen. Start a new session and select an activity, by choosing from walking, cycling, hiking, running, etc. You can enable the stopwatch and set targeted paces. Also, connect to Google Play Music to listen to songs while working out.
Routes can also be added, but you'll need to access the website for that. But before you can start tracking, you'll need to enable your location services on the phone so the app can track your exact location by using the GPS. Go outside for maximum accuracy as it has trouble pinpointing your location indoors.
Connect with friends, create training plans
The app lets you share personal statistics with your friends so you'll stay motivated. Other than that, you can create your own personal training plan. All you need to do is choose from a category, either weight loss, learning to run, preparing for a race or getting fit.
There are some free programs you can choose from, but for more you'll need to upgrade to an elite account for up to 36.16$ per year. Plans come with workout schedules, a description that includes the benefits you may get from it and a description of the trained who designed the plan. Moreover, you can register for challenges and test your body's endurance.
