RealCalc Scientific Calculator 2.0.1
Simplistic UI that resembles an actual calculator
This app was clearly created for functionality, as its design is rather industrial and without any elements to make it appealing in any way. The app records operations that you've performed, but comes with an easy way of clearing the history.
In addition, there is a whole section with instructions of use. The app provides details on how to use the calculator to perform operations like advanced functions, unit conversion, fractions and many more.
The settings section is filled with many adjustments that can be made to the app. You can change the number format, so that commas would separate decimals. You can set the screen not to turn off while the calculator is being used or set the app to work with hexadecimal, octal and binary modes. It's easy to reach the home button as it's displayed on the main screen above the shift icon.
The best tool for your calculus class
The calculator is well structured and designed to make it easy to use. Icons on the keypad come in a reasonable size so that you don't risk pressing another one by mistake.
The delete and clear all icons on the calculator are well distinguished for the others. All mathematical functions, including logarithms, trigonometry functions and icons for memory, are displayed on the top of the screen.
The app doesn't come with ads so that they wouldn't take up any screen space or distract users from their work. However, if users upgrade for 2.99$ they would unlock many other features, like fractions, degrees/minutes/seconds, landscape mode, customizable unit conversions and constants.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The UI was clearly designed only for productivity purposes, as there are no themes to shift through, no night mode or landscape view. The layout copies that of regular calculators. |
Function8
It may be used for performing many mathematical operations, including trigonometry functions, calculus, logarithms and more. |
Security10
No online registration and the app needs access to your phone but only to control vibration. It comes with absolutely no security or privacy risks whatsoever. |
Battery8
Normal consumption of battery so no worries there. |
Price9
The app is completely free of charge, it doesn't come with any ads at all. Still, an upgrade for 2.99$ would unlock many more features that you may need. |
Compatibility10
The app should work just fine on phones and tablets running on Android version 1.5 or later. |
A neat calculator for performing all sorts of mathematical operations.
