Scientific Calculator 3.7.0
Scientific Calculator is one of those apps that you install on your phone to take over the tasks of your actual calculator and provide you with even more features.
Intuitive app that resembles an actual calculator
Clearly this calculator isn't trying to attract users with its stylish interface but rather with the features that could service professional engineers and students as well. The app doesn't come with a tutorial but it's filled with tips and instructions that would help you navigate easily and find everything you need fast.
But if you still need help, you can find tips if you tap on the question mark in the top of the screen. The design resembles that of an actual calculator with gray buttons that have double functions if you long press them.
However, it also comes with a few settings that you can do to make it your own. The calculator can be set to show history, but only in landscape mode on large screens.
Customize the app to your liking
The settings section is filled with changes that you can do to the interface and even layout. There's the option of selecting from multiple screen layouts, including silver and gold scrollable skins. In addition to that, you can have the buttons appear with a 3D effect or enable the bold interface.
There's the option of selecting vertical or horizontal scrolling, and adjust screen orientation. Full screen can be enabled and parentheses can be displayed in various colors to make it easier to distinguish between them.
Make various calculations with this app
Scientific Calculator lets you choose from several modes, including fractions, improper and simplified fractions. It also remembers calculations you've made and you can adjust the maximum number.
You can use the app for trigonometric functions (radians, degrees or gradients), power and root functions, log and antilog functions, permutations (nPr) and combinations (nCr).
It's also great for solar system calculations, constants and calculating atomic mass of elements in the periodic table. All in all, a must have tool for professionals and college students. The app keeps a history for the stopwatch function in the Time Calculator section.
