Simplistic app but with an intuitive interface
Some QR code scanners come with comprehensive instructions but this one doesn't. It lacks tips that would show users how to navigate in the app, but the interface is intuitive enough so users shouldn't need them at all.
You can select in which mode you'd like the application to open, as it launched in the menu bu default. The settings icon is featured on top right corner and comes with some customization to be done to the interface. There are no languages to choose from, so you're only left with English.
Customize the app and start scanning codes
You can have the app play sounds or vibrate after it scanned a code. There's also the option of scanning batches of many codes and enabling automatic redirection when a 1D or 2D code is recognized. Codes can be automatically copied to clipboard.
The app only works in landscape mode and users have the option of enabling the flashlight. Still, you switch between cameras on your phone and the app takes a while to focus the image and scan it. It does provide a preview of the website, together with the option of sharing the code on other apps or platforms. You can use the LED while scanning codes.
Create QR codes
All scanned codes are saved in a history section and users have the option of manually typing in the code. Decoding can be done from a file in the phone or from an URL that you must type in.
It's easy to create QR codes with phone numbers of even plain text. The separate section also lets you encrypt applications, bookmarks or calendar events. You can create even colored codes but we've seen similar apps that provide more options than this one.
