Many people are concerned about their privacy online, about what information websites and companies collect on their personality and preferences. PrivacyFix lets you manage your privacy settings on four main social networking platforms, Facebook, Google, Twitter and LinkedIn.

With one simple click you can change settings and see how much you're worth to those companies.

Sleek interface but it needs some setting up

The whole concept behind this app is to check privacy settings on your accounts and warn you of vulnerabilities that you may encounter. It comes with some instructions, but the nice thing about it is that it explains what each feature does and what each scan result means.

The UI is very characteristic to AVG, with a dark background, professional look and some settings hidden under the 'hamburger' icon. You can send yourself an email and install a plug in to your favorite browser, either Firefox or Chrome. Users can also create a AVG Zen account to cover all their devices and get the most from the app.

Adjust privacy settings to your social networking accounts

The neat thing about this app is that it lets you adjust privacy settings to a number of social networking accounts, but in order to do so users must log in to said accounts.

But it takes a while to log in to all accounts. Still, it gives you the chance to adjust settings directly from the app, you can turn off search history and Google ads for your Gmail account or have your data protected when using Twitter.

The app also tells you how much your account is worth for Twitter and Facebook based on your recent activity and number of posts per month.

Stay protected while using your social accounts

Obviously, the most settings are available for Faceboo. The app tells you how susceptible you are for Facebook ads and for friends' apps. You can tag preview on or make sure your account isn't findable on Google.

On LinkedIn you can find out if you’re sharing your network with the world and if others see when you check their profile. The app shows a progress bar, telling you that you must make some more settings until your accounts are fully protected.

It also tells you when family members are oversharing information, so you can help them protect their accounts as well. PrivacyFix is also available PC.
