Nice but boring interface
We've seen our fair share of applications here, including gallery locks and we've concluded that interfaces should contain animation to make them more appealing to users.
Gallery Vault doesn't come with that, the app even lacks visual effects and only sports a rather boring design with few to no customization features. Still, it comes with a fully comprehensive tutorial that shows you how to use all the app's features to the fullest and enjoy the tools it provides you with.
The app needs online registration, an email address must be provided in case you forget the pin code and need to receive a reminder.
Encrypt and hide sensitive files
The app uses encryption to hide and protect files that contain personal information or the ones that you just don't wish for others to see them. All files are arranged into folders, the app comes with two folders for pictures and videos, but users can create more if they wish.
There are many types of files that you can hide in the vault, including pictures, videos, audios and all sorts of other files. You can also take pictures or record audio and video, directly from within the app.
It also gives you access to all files saved in the vault and you can view them inside. It also comes with a private web browser. You can preview images and videos before adding them to the vault. The app supports fake passwords.
Hide the app icon to protect files better
Users have the option of hiding Gallery Vault from the home screen and app lock, so that other users wouldn't even know that you've installed the app on your phone. It comes with break-in alerts, to let you know when unauthorized users try to access your protected data.
However, if you wish to launch the app, you'll have to type ##pincode in the dialer, that's why it's important to remember your pin code at all times. In addition, you can shake the phone to have the app close or backup files that you've hidden. There are also other options of launching the app.
Moreover, you can sort files by time and name, delete, unhide files to their original folder or in the app's destination folder. You can also move files to other folders if you wish.
