Nifty app but with all tools at hand

A sleek interface is really important for a shopping list app. Users must be able to add items at any time, in the bus or at work, without taking them too much time to navigate within the app.

Out of Milk comes with a well-structured layout and tips to help you create lists in a fast and convenient way. It sports a side menu on the left with all available sections while all tools are listed under an icon on the top right corner.

Customize the app to your pleasing and start creating lists

For such a lightweight app, Out of Milk has surprisingly many customization features. It comes with 6 themes and 5 font styles. In addition, users may adjust gestures in the app, change the font size of items, change the currency and apply a sales tax to the shopping list total. Also, users can manage notifications and enable audio alerts when the list is updated.

There are many ways to add items to a list. You can use TTS, scan a barcode or simply type in the name of the item. You can then adjust quantity, add a price and a note to the product. Each item is automatically added to a certain category, but you can also drag them to another section.

Create all sorts of lists and share with others

Once you're done creating a list, you may sort items by description or date, or add more categories to it. There's also the option of crossing out all items. The app lets you create shopping, to-do and pantry lists.

It's best that you add categories to your pantry list, so that you won't buy products that you already have at home. Also, if you live in the US the app informs you of deals at local stores.

In addition, users can sync or send lists by email or text so that other family members may contribute to it. The downside of this app is its recipe section. Users can't manually add recipes and even if you try adding them from another app, it might not be compatible with Out of Milk's layout.
