Notepad apps are some of the most basic applications that any smartphone should have. They're really useful since they take the load off carrying around actual paper notepads that take up lots of space and can be quite heavy. One neat app is Notepad + Free. It's filled with all sort of nice features that you can use in order to create notepads easily.

Sleek UI with plenty of features at hand

The app opens with a tutorial and it also has a help section that you can access by tapping on the icon on the top right corner of the screen. The home page displays all of your created notes in thumbnails, but the app comes with come ads and nagging messages to upgrade to the premium version.

All notes are automatically saved on your device, even if you didn't have the time to hit the save button. You can manage saved notes easily, remove the ones that you no longer need.

Create notes fast

Notepad + Free lets you create any kind of note fast, you can handwrite or type notes, draw with colors, write memos, sketch ideas or schemes, keep a travel journal or make a shopping list. It comes with multiple canvases, like legal, natural, ruled or squared paper.

You can also pick one of the colored papers or create a custom template. Use various brushes for drawing on papers, they come in multiple colors and sizes. If you make a mistake and need to correct it, simply tap on the back button.

There's also a forward icon that you can use. Other than that, the app lets you write all sort of text on your notes, you can adjust the text caption and add it anywhere on the screen. Change font style, size, color, alignment and position easily from within the app.

More features

Users can also insert pictures from their phone's gallery, cut notes and add as many pages as you like and navigate through them using the side menu on the left. Users can also send notes via email, save pages in their phone's gallery or share them online with friends.

There's the option of printing them directly from within the app. It's a nice notepad, but it could use some more features, like the option to backup information and make it available on multiple devices.

It does have passcode access so users could keep their notes private, but that it only available in the premium version of the app for 1.29$. Other premium features include unlimited notebooks, more colors for drawing and writing, ready made shapes and no ads.
