Holo Launcher HD 2.1.7
Some launchers let you adjust settings and change the number of rows and columns in the app drawer and choose cool screen transition effects. Holo Launcher HD has some customization settings, but lacks extra themes and wallpapers.
Boring interface that resembles that of other launchers
We've seen our fair share of launchers for Android devices and we can conclude that launcher apps must impress by design as well as functionality, but Holo Launcher seems to be a bit limited despite it's high number of downloads.
The interface is far from impressive and the app lacks extra themes for users to pick and truly customize their phones. Additional wallpapers aren't available, you can only pick one from the phone's gallery or other apps. The only design change you can make to the app is to change the color theme, as it lets you pick from a palette of various shades and colors.
Customize your phone
What it lacks in style, it makes up in features. Holo Launcher HD lets you make many changes to the interface. It allows you customize the menu and add shortcuts to the menu. The app comes with scrollable dock, you can add up to 7 icons per page and up to 3 pages.
Infinite scrolling can also be enabled, but there's the option of just selecting from two screen transition effects. Other launchers come with more. Grid size can also be changed, add up to 10 columns and rows to your drawer. Users can also adjust horizontal and vertical margins or enable elastic or wallpaper scrolling.
Adjust gestures and create shortcuts for launcher actions
One cool thing about this app is that it lets you make changes to gestures and key actions. Have the home key open the app drawer, notifications or search bar.
You can also add shortcuts to your screens with launcher settings or actions. Set shortcuts for the menu, status bar or notifications, so you can access sections inside the app faster with the tap of a single icon. Holo Launcher HD doesn't come with ads and it supports Go Launcher icon packs.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is quite boring, but it comes with full Jelly Bean launcher features. It lacks themes and wallpapers, but users may pick another theme launcher. |
Function8
It works just fine, but it could use some more features aside from the many customization tools it provides. |
Security9
It doesn't need that many permissions from your device, although we're not sure why it needs access to your call log and permission to place calls. |
Battery9
Consumption isn't that high, but quite normal for such an app so you shouldn't worry about that. |
Price9
It's free and doesn't come with ads, only some recommendations of other apps that you can download. Premium features can be unlocked if you upgrade for 3.56$. |
Compatibility7
It needs Android version 4.0 or later to work, making it inaccessible to some users. |
A nice launcher, but there's nothing spectacular about it.
