Hide My IP 0.1.21
There are VPN applications on Google Play Store, but some of them offer limited features while others don't have strong connections. Hide My IP claims to provide users with unlimited VPN, but the connection isn't very strong and not all of its 70 IP locations are available.
Functional interface, but it lacks more features
The UI is quite clean, it sports a list of all 70 IP locations on the bottom of the screen and the IP for your current connection on top. An overflow icon gives users access to some features, but no settings. It doesn't have a tutorial or any kind of instructions, the app simply opens with the home page.
It actually lacks any kind of additional features or options. The interface is a bit dated, it could use an update considering that even the app's icon is blurry. Still, it uses OpenVPN technology for secure Internet traffic encryption.
Connect to various locations
The app displays your current IP on the top of the screen and lets you pick from all sort of locations on the bottom of the screen. However, you'd be searching a lot since not all connections work and some of them get constantly disconnected.
In addition, it takes a lot to connect to a location and the data transfer is low and you won't surf the internet with the same speed you would if you didn't use the app. It has an icon in the top of the screen, but it doesn't open the app if you tap on it. Still, it displays your current data exchange but you can't read the whole information.
Some features
Aside from poor and unstable connections, the app doesn't really have any other issues. Considering that it's a VPN app, it does protect your IP on the internet and provides content that might be blocked in your country, which is quite nice.
Still, the app has a section that displays a graph with sent and received data, which is updated by the minute, Moreover, you can access the developer's website to verify the current IP address that you're using. It displays an icon for sharing information on Facebook, but that's also ill-fitted since half of it isn't visible.
The app isn't completely free, you can pay up to 38.59$ to get a license key for lifetime access to all locations. The key is available on Windows, Mac, and Android versions, but it can't be purchased from within the app.
