Google Fit 1.51.07-000

Keep track of your activities and exercises with one of the easiest to use apps out there
We've seen our fair share of workout apps, enough to realize that we could divide them into two categories. Apps that are a bit simplistic but make it easy to track exercises and those that may leave you confused with the multitude of features they offer. Google Fit is probably the most simplistic app you'll ever come across, but in a good way because it makes it easy to input data instantly and track workouts.

Sleek and clean interface

Google Fit is a pretty simplistic app with not that many features. The interface is quite clean and only displays information that you need, without nagging you with messages to rate the app or banner ads to spoil your user experience.

It has some instructions, but they aren't many while the app needs registration with a Google account. No other accounts can be used, but you can connect your tablet or smartwatch to the app and sync information.

Track your activity

The app doesn't offer users the option of selecting their own goals, either weight loss or staying fit. However, you can add a daily goal or how many hours you wish to be active in a given day. In addition, there's no quick setup so you'll have to access settings and input data after the app launches.

You can state your gender, weight and height and choose measurement units. A pie chart on the main page shows you the goal percentage that you've completed, the number of steps you've made and how many minutes you've been active.

Statistics and charts

The app uses your location services to track steps you make throughout the day, but you'll have to carry your phone at all times. You can also add activities by selecting the date, hour and duration in minutes. No other app has as many activity types as Google Fit does.

The list must include more than 30 activities, including diving, climbing and all sorts of sports. It also features statistics with activities and steps that you've made throughout the past day, week or month. Google Fit also features notifications and reminders for you to input data and track all exercises and steps you've made in a given day.
