Food Dictionary 2.4
One way of doing so is by getting the Food Dictionary app. It's filled with all sort of information, pictures and a glossary with everything you need to know.
Intuitive design with much to offer
Food Dictionary app doesn't come with any instructions or a tutorial to show users how to access all the features inside and to use all the tools that the app provides. It has a side menu with lots of sections that you can access providing you with access to a glossary on spices, vegetables, sauces, oils, etc.
You can also check out the settings menu and sign in to your Facebook and Google+ profiles, so that you could share information easier. The app also comes with notifications of a new item each day and updates for whenever new content is added inside the app.
Check out all sort of features
Moreover, Food Dictionary urges users to choose their country of residence and this will help in providing users with personalized content, like measurements. In addition, you can favorite entries that you'd like to read again.
The app even lets you sync favorited entries to an online account but you'll have to log in for that. All items in categories are arranged into thumbnails, it comes with general information, photos, comments and Wikipedia links for further information and links to recipes online. You can also rate entries, favorite them or share items online.
More features
Other than that, the app lets you pick the theme and color of the interface, but it won't really make that big of a difference. Still, you won't be able to change the font size or style, but you will get access to a whole section with instructions and tips.
The app comes with a search bar so if you need to find certain information fast, you can do so by simply typing in the name of the food or technique. It has a randomize button for displaying items from whichever gallery and icons for the next/previous items in the category. The app comes with quite bothersome banner ads which you can remove if you pay 3.59$.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface could use an update with some nicer features and effects, aside from more beautiful colors for the theme. |
Function8
It works just fine although the app could use some nicer features and maybe some video tutorials for certain techniques. |
Security7
It needs access to many areas of your phone, although some aren't connected to its features. |
Battery6
Consumption seems a bit high, keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price8
It comes with lots of banner ads and the price of 3.59$ to remove them is really high compared to that of other applications. |
Compatibility8
The app should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
It's a nice app that needs some visual improvements and more features.
