File Transfer is a nice app that could help you with that, but it's quite limited and needs a bit more features, since there are many alternatives in the store that can do the same thing, only with a little less fuss.
Sleek but simplistic design
We've gotten used to file transfer apps that come with tutorials and all sorts of instructions for new users, but File Transfer is missing all of that. It only has a help section that opens a .pdf file for users to check out and read instructions on how to navigate inside the app.
It transfers files using your LAN connections, which means that it doesn't need online registration. In this way, your files are safer because the app doesn't need to upload files onto a separate server and then download them to the destination device. Moreover, it doesn't use mobile data or any sort of resources from your phone.
Transfer files easily using this app
In order to get started, you need to install the app on your phone and the developer's software on your PC or tablet. It works cross-platform on Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android.
The setup doesn't take long and the app instantly finds devices to connect with. Browse through your files to find the ones that you wish to transfer. However, if you want to transfer more than one file you'll need to select them individually which is quite the hard work since after each transfer the app reopens your directory.
Some shortcomings
It does have a lot of bugs, aside from the file selection one. Users aren't allowed to send files from their PC onto their phones unless they upgrade to the premium version for 2.02$. Still, some basic file management tools can be found inside the app, users may delete, rename, copy or cut files in their phone.
This is quite inconvenient considering that it limits the app's usability and other similar applications offer the same features for free. It does have some free promo codes that could help users with that, but they're available on the developer's Facebook page and it's quite troublesome to go through so many steps just to transfer a file or two.
