Dub Music Player + Equalizer 1.5
It has a nice interface that lets you easily adjust equalizer functions while you listen to songs. It's not a complicated app but rather has a really nice design and all sort of features at hand.
Sleek interface with plenty of features
The app launches directly with the home page, it doesn't have a tutorial or any kind of instructions for new users to get an idea on what they can do with this player. It doesn't take long to scan your device for audio files and arrange them in a playlist for you to enjoy.
One nice thing about this app is that when you launch it, the player opens the song that you've listened to last so you can continue enjoying your music. It has a really nice UI, with some settings but it doesn't come with an additional theme that you could use.
Listen to your favorite music
The app arranges all of your audio tracks into various categories like artists, albums and genres. It also retrieves all playlists that are found on your device and lets you search inside folders to manually add audio tracks to your playlist.
It also displays album art, but only if it's available on your device. The player has a neat design, displaying nice animation on the home screen and all the usual icons that you might find in any music player. You can skip tracks, repeat and shuffle tracks in a playlist.
More features
The app comes with a 5-band equalizer and plenty of presets to choose from, including bass boost and a virtualizer. The music player has shortcuts on the home page to these features.
You can also create your own custom preset and save it inside them as to make it easier to use the next time you wish to listen to music. It also has some settings, you can use headset controls, system fonts or filter songs by a certain duration of up to 2 min maximum.
You can also rearrange tabs in the library and remove the tabs that you don't really use. It comes with controls in the notification bar and in the lock screen. However, it's missing some essential features like a sleep timer and widgets for the home screen.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is okay, with some features at hand but the app is missing instructions or a tutorial for new users. |
Function7
It's missing some essential features, like a sleep timer and the options for creating playlists, editing songs or adding lyrics. |
Security9
It only needs a few permissions from your phone, so it shouldn't pose any privacy issues. |
Battery6
Consumption seems to be higher than that of some other music players that we've tested. |
Price10
It's completely free of charge, no ads or in-app purchases whatsoever. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making the app accessible to many users. |
It needs some improvement, but it has a nice design.
