The whole concept behind DIY Locker is to provide you with tools for customizing your lock screen. Therefore, the interface is really intuitive, all the tools you need are displayed at hand at the top of the screen, next to the FAQ section that may provide you with answers to questions you might have relating the app.
DIY Locker comes with several general settings for the lock screen, you can hide the status bar, set the app to show notification preview on the screen, turn off the system lock, so you wouldn't be bothered with 2 step verification every time you need to use your phone. In addition, you can set the phone to vibrate or play sound after it's unlocked.
Customize your lock screen as you please
The next obvious step after adjusting the general settings is to select a wallpaper. The app comes with only one installed wallpaper and the option to get 5 more but only after you download Solo Launcher. Actually, there are several other features that can be unlocked if you get this launched, which is free. Still you can load or snap a picture to set as background in the lock screen.
Setting the widgets for your screen is quite easy. Choose from time and date, messages, camera and text for your main screen. App launcher and music player are available as shortcuts for your right screen, so you wouldn't have to unlock the screen to have access to your most accessed apps.
Choose the style and password for your screen
Several styles are available for your lock screen. You can choose from pasterns with lovely or colorful cartoons as icons for when you set a pattern for unlocking. You can also choose to unlock your phone by sliding the screen, there are colors and fonts you can choose from in case you wish to add some text to the lock screen.
In addition to that, 9 or 10 pictures can be set as keyboard icons, or you can arrange pics to resemble a heart on your lock screen. Overall, the colors, design and 'tattoos' seem a bit childish. It's also easy to choose a password for the lock screen and send a back-up copy via email.
