Bitdefender Safebox 1.3.6
The best way to do so is to use a cloud storage account that lets you save your files in a server and grants access from any device anywhere. Bitdefender Safebox is one of such services, but only offers 2GB of online storage and comes with a buggy Android app.
Nice but simplistic design
Some users appreciate a simplistic design, especially when it comes to utility applications that they need to work flawlessly and without too many icons clogging the UI.
But the interface of Bitdefender Safebox is a bit too simplistic. All shortcuts and features are packed under the menu icon, leaving enough space on the screen to display folders of your files.
Still, it would have been nice if developers had placed shortcuts to the upload task, so you wouldn't have to access the menu to save a file. But the app comes with plenty of instructions and a tutorial that shows you exactly what you can do with it and how to access features.
Upload your files to the cloud
Uploading files is quite easy to do but you'll have to sign up with an account first. Use Facebook or Google to do it faster or your email address if you don't wish to link your social networking accounts.
Create multiple files so you can organize your data and start uploading after you selected the destination folder. You can save multiple files at the same time but the app doesn't let you preview them.
This would have been especially useful considering that users might not want to upload all their pictures and would like to preview them.
Purchase more space
Bitdefender Safebox only offers 2GB of online storage, which seems a bit insufficient compared to other similar services. Still, it provides users with options of purchasing more, but they weren't detailed inside the app.
Bitdefender Safebox doesn't display pictures, instead it uses your photo viewer app to do so, but it does play audio files. Still, all uploaded files are encrypted and users have the option of setting a passcode for increased security and protection.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface could surely need some more work, as it's quite dull and had dated icons. |
Function7
It takes a while to load and desynchronizes at times. In addition, shortcuts to features would be needed in order to improve functionality. |
Security9
It encrypts files and lets users set a passcode, but no cloud service is full-proof so be careful with the information you upload there. |
Battery8
Consumption is moderate, so you don't have to worry about the app draining your resources. |
Price9
It's free and offers users the option of purchasing more space, but there are no details about this in the app. |
Compatibility9
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.2 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A nice app for cloud storage but it definitely needs more work.
