Sleek interface with a nice layout
The UI sports a nice layout, without any side menus or large icons to take up screen space. The app needs online registration, either with a Facebook account or email address. There aren't many changes you can do to the interface, but it does provide you with instructions of use and tips to get you started.
All videos that you'll produce are uploaded to the network, you can download them later to your device or share them on social networks with friends. Even if the videos are stored online, you still have full control over them and can even delete them if you wish.
Select from multiple styles and songs
Animoto gives you all the tools to make amazing videos with pictures and sound, all you need to do is tap on the play icon and get started. Select one of the 50 styles available with cute and festive backgrounds.
You can also change the song of videos and choose one of the many options available. Hundreds of songs are divided into genres and they don't last longer than a couple of minutes, being constricted by styles and the number of pictures and length of videos you upload. You can also use music from your own library to set to videos that are uploaded online.
Create videos with pictures
Once you've chosen a style and song, pick videos and pictures from your phone's gallery to add to the video. Add text and a subtitle to name your video and tap on play to review it. The app takes a while to prepare the video, so stay patient while it does so. Users can also add captions to pictures to make the clip more interesting.
The app doesn't come with an incorporated video player, so you'll have to use the one installed on your device. Tap on play again to save the video and open options for sharing it online. Animoto doesn't come with ads but you can pay 3.68$ per month or 22.14$ per year for an upgrade which would let you use up to 300 photos, video clips and text cards and use footage of up to 10 seconds long.
