OneDrive 5.1

Back up important files, photos and videos to the cloud with OneDrive
Sharing content over the cloud has grown more and more popular over the years as a much easier alternative to splitting big files into smaller chunks that will fit into an email and so on. Furthermore, it’s not just easier, but it’s also a lot faster.
Thankfully, this power has extended beyond sending files, photos and videos from your computer to sending them from your phone too. This makes syncing the data less of a headache.

OneDrive is a tool that was built by Microsoft back in 2007. It’s a service that has gone through a lot of name changes before settling for OneDrive, but one that’s been known to be quite reliable over the years.

Easy to use

As most other Microsoft tools, this one too has a simple and intuitive interface. With an extra crisp and clean design, OneDrive is easy to navigate by all users, with the main focus of the app being on your files and folders rather than the tools it sets at users’ disposal.

When you upload any kind of photos or videos from your iDevice to OneDrive, these can be shared to any other device, be it a PC, Mac, tablet or another phone. When it comes to these, in fact, the app even comes with an automatic backup feature for the Camera, which means that any picture you take or video you shoot, you’ll find it in the cloud when the sync is done.

These files can be shared with friends and family via a link, for instance. In such an occasion, you can decide if the recipient can only view the document or picture, or if they can also edit. There’s also the possibility to send the file in full, as an attachment to a text message, an email or a post on a social network.

Files can be moved, renamed or deleted at any time, while new folders can be created in a few easy steps. Basically, you can organize them however you want in just a few moves.

Two-way street

You can’t just send files, but you can also receive them. Browsing through them all is quite easy, while opening any of the documents, for instance, can be done with other Office apps if they are installed.

Overall, OneDrive is a great looking app that will save you a lot of time and effort by enabling you to send and receive documents, videos and photos in just a few steps. It’s a great productivity tool that you should use at its fullest. The fact that you have some a lot of free storage space should also push you towards picking this cloud storage service.
