Viber 5.5.2.28
Well structured interface that makes it easy to place calls
You'd expect the interface of messaging apps to be quite well designed and Viber hits the mark. You have all the sections neatly displayed at the top of the screen, to make it easy to navigate from messages, contacts, call history and public chats.
There's also an icon for editing your profile, where you'll find everything from settings to marketed products. Users may set a profile picture, adjust their status or notifications. Your Viber profile can be connected to Facebook or Twitter and you can also block numbers and keep them from calling or texting you. The app lets you optimize Viber for minimal data usage on mobile networks.
Text and call friends
Viber makes it easy to socialize with friends, all you need is a solid internet connection and you're good to go. In order to place a call, simply tap on the contact or type in a number. You have the option of making video calls, the image quality is pretty good but it depends on your internet connection as well.
There's also the option of transferring calls, muting a call or enabling the speaker. In addition, users have the option of downloading background images for their chat section. Viber offers users many emojis and stickers, that they can use for messages and additional ones can be purchased.
Still, they seem a bit childish and Viber could use some more stylish ones. You can also become an admin and manage your group chats; edit info and remove participants. You can see a person’s name and photo when you interact, even if they’re not saved in your contact list.
Explore public chats
Unlike other similar services, Viber lets you explore public charts with celebrities and personalities who have chosen to connect with their fans via this voice and messaging service. While the service is free and without any ads, but the app comes with some purchases.
It also lets you forward files easily to groups and certain users. Still, Viber lets you share files and videos, send your location and even a doodle to friends. If you wish to add a friend fast, simply scan the QR code provided in the app which contains their phone number.
The app also comes with games, but you won't be able to play them unless you're in a conversation as the prize is coins. Viber comes with Android Wear support.
