Star Music Player is a nice music player, but it's quite limited compared to others on the market. Still, its lightweight interface makes it perfect for users who are looking for uncomplicated applications that do what they promise.
Sleek interface with plenty to offer
The app only comes with a few instructions and tips to show you where you might find all sort of features. Still, it could have used a tutorial to show users all the neat things that they can do inside the app. It comes with a side menu that gives you access to all sort of features and sections inside the app.
Star Music Player has two distinct themes, a light and a darker one, but it lacks a gallery with additional customization features that you could do to the interface.
Play all sort of audio files
Star Music Player doesn't take long to scan your device and find all sort of audio files on your phone and then arrange them based on album, artist, genre and give you access to all the folders containing said files.
You can also explore playlists on your phone, songs saved in your device and check the calendar to see when you've added certain audio files. It's a nice way to check how your musical preferences changed over time.
Listen to your music
A toolbar with player controls are featured on the bottom of the screen, you also have controls in the notification bar and in the lock screen. You can also use the side menu to edit your playlists and view your favorite songs. A search bar lets you find all audio files on your device and the app comes with an equalizer and a timer for when you wish it to close immediately after you're done listening.
It also has a number of widgets that you can add to your home screen and it comes with a bass booster. While the app isn't that complex as other music players on the market, it doesn't have trouble playing songs and it's perfect for users who wish for a simple and easy-to-use player.
