Piano Teacher 20150901

Learn how to play the piano or simply exercise songs on your phone
It seems that they've developed an app for almost everything and even of you'd think that a phone couldn't possibly be turned into a virtual piano, developers from Rubycell can surely prove you wrong. Piano Teacher is an app that mimics the sound of a piano almost to perfection and makes this amazing instrument available to anyone with a smartphone.

Intuitive

UI with plenty of instructions

You don't have to be an expect to play the piano and this app proves it. Piano Teacher comes with plenty of instructions along the way and a video tutorial to get you going. Still, before actually starting to play navigate through the whole UI so you'd make a general impression of its capabilities.

From the settings menu, you may adjust the volume, the playing speed, length, enable vibration. A single or double mode can be selected. In the latter, keys may overlap but you'll basically have a whole piano set displayed on your screen. There also are a few keyboard themes for you to choose from, including a 3D one or change the language of the app.

Play all sorts of songs

The app comes with plenty of songs, divided into categories, from easy to hard level, kids songs, Christmas carols and more. You can also choose songs from the cloud sharing section and save your favorites. The app can also be set to search online for songs on freesheets.net and other websites.

Songs are played with suggestions on which piano key to hit, together with the option of pausing or rewinding the song. You can set the app to display text with background to make the notes stand out or select the hand you'll be using to play the song. All songs come with samples and you can play certain parts of songs if you move back or forward a few notes.

Shift through instruments

Aside from the classical piano, the app comes with a selection of multiple instruments that you can choose from, including electric guitars for playing jazz songs, violins, drums and trumpets.

The app plays all sorts of MIDI files and supports even karaoke files. However, only some instruments come free with the app. To purchase all you must pay 0.99$, which is basically a steal.
