Phone Tester 2.0.6
There are apps that could help you with that. One of them is Phone Tester. It's a neat app that comes with lots of features, although some of them don't seem to work properly. Still, it's well worth a try.
Fluent design with lots of features at hand
The app launches directly with the home screen, featuring all sort of sections that you can access easily since they're arranged into a list on the home screen. It doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient.
It could have used some explanations for various sensors and their functionality. The app doesn't have material design, the UI is quite boring it comes in gray colors and doesn't have any effects or visual enhancements. It lacks a settings menu, some sections in the app let you make some adjustments but not all of them.
Test sensors on your phone
The app comes with a feature for testing all sort of sensors on your phone. You can test the accelerometer, the gyroscope, compass, magnetic field, proximity, light, pressure and step detector. Each of them come with some specifications, like the version of the sensor, the resolution, the range and more.
The app also mentions the sensors that aren't supported on your phone. Use the app to check your WiFi status, it displays the link speed, frequency, signal, external and local IP. It also displays details on telephony, like the provider, operator, IMEI number, etc.
More readings
The app can be used for checking GPS status, it displays the number of satellites in your proximity. However, it doesn't display latitude, altitude, longitude, bearing or speed. It also doesn't show your location on a map.
attery information is available and the app lets you check how many fingers your device recognizes if you touch the display. It also lets you check information on your cameras, like resolution, focal length, sensor size, flash, crop factor, viewing angle, etc. Other than that, the app displays general information on your device like the manufacturer, brand, model, cores, CPU, RAM, frequency, etc.
It's missing some essential features, like graphs for displaying reading and the option to export them through an email. It also doesn't let users record information displayed on the screen.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface is quite dated, it comes in gray colors and it doesn't have any customization options or changes that you can do to the UI. |
Function8
It lets you test all sort of sensors on your phone, but it doesn't have a feature for letting you record readings or export them. |
Security8
It needs access to many areas of your phone, but they're mainly connected to its features. |
Battery5
Consumption is quite high, keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price8
It has banner and popup ads that could get quite annoying and there's no option of removing them with an upgrade. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making the app available to many users. |
It's a really nice app with plenty of features at hand but it does need some improvement.
