Windows Phone users who want to capture some beautiful pics using some inspired effects have at their disposal quite a few dedicated applications and among them you can find SophieLens HD.

Intuitive layout and transparent controls

This utility comes with a pretty cool looking interface and the main functions are placed quite conveniently in the four corners of the screen, with the shutter button in the lower part.

This arrangement coupled with the transparency of the controls will put at your disposal the entire screen for the live preview from the selected on-board camera.

The responsive display adapts immediately to any change in orientation and the selected filters come into effect in the blink of an eye.

Choose the effect and take snapshots on the go

SophieLens HD comes with only a handful of filters by default, so if you want more than the 5 built-in effects you will have to go for one of the packs made available from the dedicated area of the application.

Most filter sets are available only as paid add-ons, but there is one, the "Lomo" pack that brings you 9 extra effects completely free. After downloading and installing it the filters can be selected from the menu that appears when tapping the button placed in the upper left corner of the screen.

There are no extra customizations or adjustments that you can make to the loaded effect, so all that is left for you to do is press the shutter button at the bottom of the screen and capture the photo. The images are saved in the "Camera Roll" folder, so you can find and manage them with ease from there.

Unfortunately, the system integration that includes SophieLens HD on the list of apps that appear when selecting the editing function is of no use because no action can be carried out when picking this utility from that list.

An extra option you can find under the "Settings" menu refers to the original snapshots that are kept inside the app's storage and you can delete them with one tap in case the free pace becomes an issue.
