Tidy appearance and well thought layout
The clean look of this app makes it possible for anyone to view dates and events in a clear manner, while the smooth navigation ensures a pleasant experience. The commands for operating this utility are easy to access from the menu placed in the lower part of the screen
There are two types of views to choose from, a classic calendar layout, with a generous space reserved to the monthly view and a timeline perspective, which focuses on a view that lists the weekdays one on top of the another, with hourly intervals clearly delimited.
Create and manage events with ease
Adding appointments is just as easy as through the default calendar application for Windows Phone and this is because the two share the same calendars and are always in sync with eachother.
Somewhat of a letdown is the fact that events cannot be edited or deleted from inside Simple Calendar. Instead, you will have to open the built-in system calendar app and take care of things from there.
There are quite a few customizations that can be made to the live tile, so as to make it as much to your liking as possible. Up to 3 appointments and 14 days can be shown and there is only the "Basic" template to play with, as the other require purchase.

The interface of Simple Calendar has a nicely polished look, even though it is projected against an almost completely dark background. The timeline view is a bit more appealing than the standard calendar mode, but the app could use some extra customization options in this respect. |
