Cal 1.4.0.0
Windows Phone owners can now enjoy a neat calendar-based application called simply Cal that offers ease of use and a set of neat features, all included inside a cool looking package.
Simple design for an intuitive front-end
This utility comes with a neat look that is very well adapted to the purpose of the app and can be changed a bit by selecting one of the two available themes, enabling the phone accent color or picking another font.
Moving around the different areas of the application is done with a relative fluency and there are some minor delays when loading events or when accessing the "Settings" menu.
The live tile that can be pinned to the Start menu is ready for customization and will surely add a very nice touch to your Windows Phone.
Multiple view and calendar features
Cal is ready to provide its own calendar that you can use to check out the dates and add events, but it also supports other solutions that are seamlessly integrated in a mater of seconds.
More precisely, you will be able to connect to your Microsoft, Facebook and Google accounts and all the events you have created in each of them will be ready at hand. You can even pick certain categories that will be excluded so as to avoid having the same event appear with several entries for the same date.
By default, the app shows the monthly view, but this can be easily modified and you can pick the week mode or the agenda style of displaying the events that are to come.
Fast event editing and event synchronization of all the details
The application makes it possible for you to add all the necessary information for each appointment and you can set reminders for each event that range from one week to 5 minutes and there is even a possibility of getting an instant notification at the precise time the event is scheduled to start.
The sync feature is most welcomed as it makes the necessary modifications in all the connected calendars as soon as you add a new event. There is also an option for a manual synchronization that can be accessed from the main menu shown at the bottom of the screen.
