SMS Collection 1.0.0.5
For Windows Phone users who need a bit of inspiration in writing SMS messages there are even some specialized application that can help and SMS Collection is one of them.
Easy to use, but dull front-end
As soon as you open this app you will be presented with a long list of possible choices and browsing it is fluent and without delays. Nonetheless, the looks of the utility are far from the smoothness of the navigation, as there are very few elements of design that are a bit better looking.
The content is structured fairly well, so you can use the filters from the dedicated menu and also go through all the categories that are included on a comprehensive list, but which has no logical arrangement, not even a simple alphabetical order. The pesky advertisements and prompts that appear inside the app also soil the overall experience.
Lots of choices, very few worth picking
SMS Collection offers an impressive amount of texts, so at first glance one may think they have found a long lost treasure. Don't be fooled by their sheer number, though, because upon closer examination you will discover that only a handful of those messages are really worth sharing.
There is a tremendous amount of spelling and language mistakes inside, some SMSes are written in a seemingly "modern" jargon, but their rough English is barely decipherable at times. Many categories that should have been included are missing and some are not even in English at all.
Save or send messages with one tap
A positive aspect related to the functionality of this utility is the ability to keep in a dedicated area any messages you may find to be inspiring or worthy of sending out.
To share any SMS from this collection you only have to tap the send button, shaped as a letter and the content will be immediately ready to go to the recipient you choose.

Bottom Line
Design / UI3
The looks of the app are more like appalling rather than appealing and only the smooth navigation and the decent icons shown on the top of the screen for browsing the app's sections save it some points. |
Function3
It's highly unlikely that you will find more than a handful of messages that can be send as they are, without heavy modifications needed. The ability to save SMSes and send them instantly doesn't compensate for the numerous shortcomings. |
Security7
Besides looking into some areas of the system that are related to its functionality, the app needs to access others for no good reason. |
Battery7
The utility is not too heavy on system resources, but has nonetheless a noticeably high power consumption. |
Price5
Those who are looking for some quick inspiration may be lucky enough to stumble across something remotely useful, but most users will be better off trying to compose the messages themselves. |
Compatibility9
Ready to run on most Windows Phone devices out there, SMS Collection only neds version 7.5 or higher of the operating system. |
