Friendly and intuitive front-end
The application comes with a fairly nice interface, with simple graphics and an efficient layout that is clearly focused on practical use more than good looks. Some customizations are available, so you can swipe right twice from the main screen to visit the "Settings" area and check them out.
The functions and commands are easy to make out and at hand and the menus that come over the work area are transparent, so as to hinder the view as little as possible.
The preview is very responsive, with the modifications appearing almost instantly, while the navigation among the various areas of the app is also smooth for the most part.
Browse and try out the filters
Photo Shader brings you close to 50 effects that cover a lot of styles and they are neatly grouped under relevant categories like "Color", "Blur" or "Retro", to mention only some of them.
As soon as you select one of the listed filters, a new screen will open, with a more generous view of the loaded pic, enabling you to see how the effect looks like onto the image. There are also some controls for adjusting various parameters, but their existence and type depend exclusively on the filter you choose.
Manual editing and advanced functionality
For every filter you pick there are some controls you can reveal when tapping "draw", so you can apply the effect by drawing instead of using the slider. This gives you control over every area of the image, especially since you can zoom in and move the photo with pinch and drag gestures.
Erasing the modifications made by hand or inverting the effect on the picture are possible as well, but more important is the presence of a selective "Undo" that allows you to choose the steps you want to revert.
