The app greets you with a neat appearance, featuring a cool background wallpaper and some smooth graphics that are consistent from end to end.
The animated tiles inside the main screen increase the visual appeal, but the movie posters that are used as backgrounds when you access their listings are of a poor quality.
There is another letdown, a lot more visible, as the advertisements plague the interface and appear as flashing banners and even in full screen, while the playback is also hindered by their presence.
After one or two uses some reminders that prompt you to rate and review Movie Free will start to pop up pretty often, not only at startup.
Search for the movies you like or browse the database to find them
The utility brings you a large number of films and TV series that you can go through in several ways in order to find some that may be of interest to you.
One method is by entering the main categories listed inside the home screen, but you can just as well look through the genres, release years and even check out the listings ordered by movie director or country of origin.
The built-in search facility allows you to input the keywords and carry out queries in the usual and simple manner. You should note that not all the movies from a trilogy, for example, are included in the database, while for the TV series only one episode is available.
Simple playback controls and subtitle support
Movie Free puts at your fingertips the most common functions you are used to when watching video files, so you can play or pause the playback and skip forward or rewind 30 seconds with a single tap on the corresponding button.
Also, there is another useful feature, namely the closed captions function, which allows you to switch on or off the English subtitles where they are available.
