The main purpose of this utility is to bring a fresh look onto the lock screen, while displaying on it, as well as on the Start screen, a variety of information that can be useful and fun for the user.
Pleasant and easy to work with interface
The nicely animated GUI of the application is a breeze to navigate through and all the functions and commands are neatly placed, so as to make the whole process easier. Also, moving around through the menus and browsing the images is fluent and without glitches.
Previewing the modifications is possible thanks to the dedicated area inside the interface where the response after a certain selection is made is immediate.
Quick and smart customization of the lock screen
Lockie is able to put on the lock screen some extra information, by providing two slots in which you can place any combination of features it supports. The available choices consist of the current weather, calendar appointments, RSS news, personal notes and famous quotations.
The same can be done for the Start screen live tile, so you can actually prepare quite a few bits of information to be always at your disposal. Even if for most of the time things go on smoothly, it may happen that the app becomes unable to change the background photos or read the news from the URL you provided and only by reinstalling Lockie these malfunctions can be fixed.
