The application offers a smooth appearance, with its beautiful graphics and carefully designed layout. The graphics look very nice, while all the tools and commands are easy to reach and placed conveniently for you to access.
The image selection and the filters are loaded with a bit of delay, but other than that everything is smooth, including the navigation among the various sections and menus of the utility.
To enjoy a better perspective when working with larger pictures, you can rotate the display in landscape mode, as the app immediately adjusts its interface to this change in orientation.
Create a photo collection and start editing the pics on the go
BLACK needs you to add the images you want to edit inside its very own catalog from where you will be able to pick them one at a time and modify them as you please.
With a picture selected and ready for processing, the application enables you to go through all the film presets it has in store and make the modifications you feel are most appropriate.
Swiping from left to right or even up and down you can browse through the effects, while with a double tap on the canvas you will activate the maximum zoom. In order to increase or decrease the preview gradually you will have to use the pinch gestures.
Quick adjustments with built-in tools
Once you decide which type of film filter to apply to the image, the "Edit" area will bring at your fingertips some nice extra utilities you can use to add fade and vignette effects and even to manually set the black and white color curve.
Some extra options are to be found for the vignetting tool, which allows you to also configure the contrast and falloff ratios using some simple slider controls. Should you feel like giving up on certain modifications you made, use the "Undo" button to revert the changes one by one.
