How many times up until now have you wished you could take back something you’ve written in a text message to someone? How many times have you wished you could just turn back time and remove a particularly embarrassing message or picture you’ve sent the wrong person?

Most mobile texting apps allow you to remove certain content from messages, but the changes usually only affect your own conversation and not those of the person you are talking to. Well, Strings is an app that allows making such changes for everyone involved in the conversation.

Clean UI

That’s a pretty cool feature to have and quite useful. Strings comes with a pretty simple interface that’s easy to figure out and navigate. You can easily create new conversations, share photos from your Camera Roll or take new shots, including videos. Plain text conversations are welcomed too, of course.
The app comes with some pretty nifty features. You’ll have to keep in mind, however, that the app is tightly connected to your phone number, which means that without one of those, you’re not going to use Strings.

The profile you make isn’t public, which means that only people you add to your contact list can share content with your, while the only ones who will actually be able to view your content are the ones you share it with.

Downloading content you’ve sent can only be done with your express permission. To take security up a notch, if someone tries to take a screen grab of anything you’ve sent, they’ll get their account suspended.Contacts can be added from your contact list, Facebook, Twitter or the email address you have set up on the phone.

Since we’re on the topic of security, you should know that if you delete your account, anything you’ve ever shared – photos, videos, comments – will be deleted forever on all phones and servers.

Strings is a pretty nice app that comes with some great features. It’s easy to use, comes with a clean interface and some great security and privacy features to complement it all. The fact that you can delete content you’ve sent from every recipient’s phone isn’t something that you can do with a lot of messaging apps.
