Buying on Etsy is an easy process and doesn’t take a lot of time to figure out, especially since the process is pretty straight forward – search for something you like, discover it, add it to the cart and buy it.
Selling on Etsy, however, is a tad more complicated. Then again, that’s what having a small business is like – a bit complicated. The company has set the buying and selling apart and built two different apps. “Sell on Etsy” is dedicated to those crafty people who want to actually make a dime off of their talent, to see if anyone is interested in buying their products and what’s their opinion on the matter.
What can you do
The tool allows you to check out your shop, to view the stats, including how many times the shop’s been viewed, favorite and how many orders you’ve received. You can even see which of your items ended up on someone’s favorite list.
On top of these controls, you can also add new entries to your shop. You’ll have access to similar features as you do on the web version of the site. This means you’ll have to give details about the item, such as who made it, what is it, when it was made, and what category and subcategory it fits under. Then, you can go about adding photos, giving it a title, setting the price, writing a description and picking a shipping profile.
Take care of the orders
If you have any open orders, you can take care of those and change the delivery status and so on. You can even contact the buyers to let them know their products are on the way and to establish a connection with them, ask them for feedback, and so on.
Sell on Etsy is an app that seeks to make the process of handling a shop on the platform extremely easy and stress free. After all, this is more about focusing on the crafting side of the business than on the business part of it all.
