Rookie 2.3

Rookie makes your pictures look great by giving you access to a lot of editing tools
Playing around with the way picture look is something that most people do nowadays, without even needing to shell out big bucks on tools such as Photopshop. Sure, most of the apps that you’ll find for free aren’t exactly the same caliber and don’t offer as many features, but there are plenty of tools to enjoy and make your pictures look beautiful.

Rookie is a photo editor that gives you plenty of opportunities to make your pictures look fantastic. You can choose whether to take a new photograph or to use one that you’ve already taken. When shooting a new photo, however, the app gives you access to some pretty cool tools, including the ability to modify the ISO and to preview photo filters.

Add filters, other cool tools

These can, of course, be added at a later time too, along with many other features. For instance, you may adjust the photo’s texture and add a light leak. You can then move on to make some additional adjustments, such as cropping, image cropping and rotation. Adjusting the picture’s clarity is also possible, along with the brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, vibrance, temperature and tint, highlight and shadow and so on.

It’s even possible to add another picture above it and fiddle about with double exposure settings, which isn’t something that you can really do with most similar tools.

Rookie further allows you to add text to the picture, customizing it all by selecting a font, color and embellishments. Stickers are also available to add to the image, as well as geometric shapes, letters and other types of frame-like images.

Save and share

All these images can then be saved to the camera roll or shared via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr or Flickr, but access to other apps is also available if you so desire it.

When you want to reverse any of the changes made to the picture, you can tap on the button at the top left corner and flip through the pictures and see which change you want to revert to. The entire process looks pretty cool.
