Mailbox 2.4.1
Mailbox is a mail app from the folks from Dropbox, the famous cloud storage service that’s taken over the world in the past few years.
The app serves those with Google or iCloud account, greatly limiting the usability of this app since you can’t even add a work email, for instance, unless you set it to forward all messages to another address from one of the aforementioned services.
Get things going
The tool is, however, quite easy to handle and should be easy to figure out by all users. The fact that the devs have set up a tutorial as you launch the app should help out quite a bit since you’ll learn all about the gestures the app supports.
For instance, swiping an email to the left or right comes with two levels and two functions. For instance, a short swipe to the left will snooze the email, while a long swipe will add the message to one of your lists. Similarly, giving a short swipe to the right will archive a message, while a long swipe will send it to the trash. These can be adjusted to fit your needs from the Settings area where you can choose other options if you’d rather use those more often, such as marking them as read or unread, sending them to spam, adding or removing the star or sending them to print.
Easy to handle
The interface of Mailbox is pretty clean and should be easy to figure out by all users. It’s certainly clean enough to make it easy to notice all the messages and to get a better idea about how you should prioritize them.
The app comes with an additional features – “Help me get to zero.” This one will help you focus on what’s important by removing unnecessary messages. You have three options to choose from – to archive all messages, to archive all except those that are unread or all except those that were starred.
Overall, this is a nice tool that gives you plenty of options to handle all those messages you get each day. The fact that you can only add accounts from Google or iCloud, however, is a serious downer.
