Acompli is a free email app that’s supposed to make life easier for you and give you more usage out of your inbox.
Multiple account support
As far as design goes, the tool is pretty cool and sleek, which also makes it pretty easy to use. The app supports a range of email services, such as Microsoft Exchange, Outlook.com, Google, iCloud and Yahoo. Acompli allows you to add multiple accounts and handle them all from the same app, which is obviously handy especially since everyone seems to have more than one email address nowadays.
The app sports a rather handy “Focused Inbox” which is where you’ll find the most important emails. By reclassifying emails, your Inbox should improve greatly.
Quick commands
If you don’t have the time to handle a certain email, you can swipe it to the right and schedule it to return to the Inbox at a later time of your choosing. Swiping in the opposite direction has two functions. Releasing the email before the middle mark will send it into Archive, while releasing it after that mark will send it to the Trash Bin.
Tapping on the Files area will give you all the documents you’ve recently received on your email account. If you’ve picked a Google account, you’ll even see the Google Drive docs, while it’s also possible to add other cloud accounts, such as Dropbox or OneDrive.
When sending emails, you can insert various files, either from your Cloud accounts, Photo library or you’ll even be able to take a new Photo if needed, but that will require that you give the app access to the camera.
You may also tell the recipient of the message when you’ll be available for a meeting, for example, by selecting a date and the times.
Useful app
Overall, this is a pretty well-rounded app that offers everything that the official clients do, and more. The scheduling system is pretty great, and so is the ability to view and attach documents from various Cloud storage accounts.
The tool is easy to use and even if it may take novice users a bit of time to get the hang of everything that it has to offer, this is a pretty cool tool that you should definitely try on for size and see if it fits your needs.
