The next mid-range Android smartphone coming from Xiaomi is the Mi 4c. The device has already leaked a few times in the last month, so we know quite a lot about its specs.

However, the exact release date of the smartphone hasn't been leaked until now. According to GizChina, Xiaomi Mi 4c will be officially unveiled on September 22.

It's unclear whether or not the smartphone will be available for purchase on the same day, but it will surely be launched in China initially.

We reported to you a few days ago that Xiaomi Mi 4c has been listed at Oppomart with a price tag of $230, but the handset might be priced lower in China.

Spec-wise, we already know the smartphone will be equipped with a powerful hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Since the Xiaomi Mi 4c will support dual-SIM, there's a chance that there will be room for a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Other highlights of the smartphone include a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a decent 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Last but not least, Xiaomi Mi 4c will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with MIUI 7 on top of it.
