The new feature is now available in the beta version

WhatsApp Messenger received several new features on Windows Phone platform, which are meant to fill the development gap between this app and Android & iOS versions.

Although Windows Phone development seems to be working slower, at least those that picked this platform will get new features constantly.

After delivering Voice calling to Android, BlackBerry and iOS platforms, it took WhatsApp a few months to make it available on Windows Phone. Well, as the saying goes, “better later than never.”

The next feature that Windows Phone fans should expect to receive in the not-so-distant future will allow them to block users and report them as spammers, WMPU reports.

The new feature has been spotted recently courtesy to WhatsApp translations, which means it's 100% legit.

Unfortunately, there's no telling when exactly the new feature will make it to Windows Phone Store, but those who have been accepted into the beta program will probably get it much earlier.

The ability to block a user within WhatsApp is already available in Android and iOS versions of the applications, so once again, Windows Phone users will be the last to get a new feature. We'll be keeping an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned.
