This only happens in Malaysia and Singapore

Most of us are familiar with Uber, the taxi service that connects riders and drivers through an app, thus making cities accessible and opening up a wide range of possibilities for business cabbies.

Anyway, we hear that in some parts of the world, Uber drivers are doing more than just driving people around from place to place. In countries like Singapore or Malaysia, Uber cabs can deliver you your premium Xiaomi phone.

So if you reside in one of the two countries, you’ll be able to order a 5.7-inch QHD Xiaomi Mi Note phablet right from the Uber app and your Uber credit card will get charged for it.

And in case you’re getting extremely anxious about getting your hands on the phone, you’ll also be able to track the Uber car as it heads your way.

For the time being, you’ll be able to do this only on July 27, but Xiaomi and Uber are planning a long-term partnership that will be announced soon.

While carriers like Sprint are starting to deliver their smartphone products right to customers’ doors, it’s not such a big shock to see Xiaomi and Uber embark on a similar path. After all, both companies want to draw attention upon themselves.
