After Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ phablets during its big event in New York, there was still one question that was left unanswered.

Since the two phones don’t offer the option of a microSD card slot, we had to guess that Samsung will be offering 128GB versions of the phones like it’s the case with the Galaxy S6.

A few days after the grand announcement, Samsung comes to clarify that sadly there won’t be any 128GB version for the Note 5 and S6 edge+ (as spotted at CNET). So the only options available to you will be the 32GB and 64GB models.

It’s not clear why Samsung chose to renounce this version which is aimed at power users. On the other hand, there might be still the possibility that the Korean tech giant will be pushing out this variant at a later date, but this is just speculation at this point.

What’s certain in this story is that a lot of folks will be disappointed. Or maybe not. Not so long ago we told you that Samsung has apparently discontinued the 128GB models of its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge flagships in a bunch of countries like India or Netherlands. So maybe Sammy surveyed the market and saw there was no palpable demand for flagships with so much inbuilt storage attached.
