Shazam, the best application that allows users to identify music and TV while on the move, has just received a small but important update on Windows Phone platform.

Among the most important new features included in this update is the option to back up your full Shazam history on the app's official website.

However, the bad news is that you will have to sign in to Facebook in order to take advantage of the back-up feature. Since many Shazam users don't own a Facebook account for privacy reasons, the new feature is only aimed at those who got one.

Furthermore, the update also brings a new tab called News Feed where Shazam users will be able to discover videos, interviews and more from artists they have Shazamed in the past.

Last but not least, with the latest version of Shazam for Windows Phone, users will be able to see what their friends are Shazaming.

No other changes or under-the-hood improvements have been included in the update, but we expect more new features in future updates.

You can now download Shazam for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all device powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up.
