Great news for those who paid a lot of money to own the largest and most powerful Android tablet launched by Samsung, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2.

Unfortunately, the South Korean company wasn't quick at all to update its best tablet to the latest version of Android.

Since its launch on the market back in March, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 was stuck on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which was quite a pity for such a device.

But the folks over at SamMobile report that the highly anticipated Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is finally available for download.

Although the update seems to be available in Nordic countries for the moment, it's clear that Samsung will continue to roll out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 worldwide in the coming weeks.

It's also worth mentioning that, for the time being, the LTE version of Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, model number SM-T905, is getting the update.

Those who own the LTE version of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and live in the Nordic countries should now go and see if the update has arrived since it's being pushed OTA (over the air).

Still, since Samsung plans to make Android 5.1.1 Lollipop available to Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 devices worldwide, it wouldn't hurt to check for it even if you're not located in the Nordic countries.
