The update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages

It's been less than two weeks since the last Samsung rolled out a maintenance update for Galaxy Note 5, and the flagship smartphone is getting yet another minor update that brings some improvements.

If you own the Galaxy Note 5, then you already know that the last update brought some battery usage optimizations and improvements to the stability of Call.

The new update is much smaller at 39MB, as opposed to the previous one that had around 144MB in size. This might mean fewer changes with less impact on performance.

Anyway, we already have the official changelog, so we can confirm the update contains device stability improvements and bug fixes.

However, according to Samsung, this update “can include, but is not limited to” new and / or enhanced features, as well as further improvements to performance.

The changelog for this small update is rather cryptic, so the only thing we can do is take Samsung's word for it.

Since the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, it will probably take a few days until it reaches all Samsung Galaxy Note 5 devices. For the time being, the update is rolled out in Europe, but it might reach other regions as well.

In other news, Samsung is expected to deliver Android 6.0 Marshmallow to several high-end Galaxy smartphones and tablets sometime early next year.

The Galaxy Note 5 will be among the first Samsung smartphones to receive the update, though an exact release date is still a mystery.
