A few days ago, Samsung pulled the veil off the Galaxy A8, which is the slimmest Android smartphone to date from its current lineup.

But Samsung was mum about the pricing options for the device, which comes with pretty decent specs. Well, today, we’re able to tell you how much money you can expect to spend on the handset.

For starters, let’s see what the handset brings to the table. The Galaxy A8 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with support for full HD (1080p) resolution.

The phone draws life from a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor fitted with 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.

In the photography department, things are pretty encouraging, as the A8 features a 16MP photo snapper with OIS (optical image stabilization), autofocus, LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and video recording plus a 5MP selfie shooter.

The Galaxy A8 is powered by a 3,050 mAh battery and Samsung says the power box is capable of sustaining 300 hours of standby time. Last but not least, the phone ships out with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The company is making the new phone available in white, black and gold. So, if you think you’d like this device, Chinese website CNMO provides us with the pricing specifications for the Galaxy A8.

The 16GB model will sell for about $515 / €472, while the 32GB version will come at a heftier $564 / €516. What do you think?
