Samsung Galaxy Alpha has already been updated to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system, but owners of the smartphone will be pleased to know that the South Korean company is readying yet another nice surprise.

According to Samsung France, Android 5.1 Lollipop is definitely arriving on the Galaxy Alpha. Even though the update has only been confirmed for unlocked versions of Samsung Galaxy Alpha, carriers shouldn't take too long to push Android 5.1 Lollipop to this device as well.

The Galaxy Alpha would be the third Samsung smartphone to receive Android 5.1 Lollipop update in the last few weeks. The Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge have already received the update in some countries, but the majority of devices have yet to get the upgrade.

The Galaxy Alpha won't be the only smartphone launched by the South Korean company to get Android 5.1 Lollipop in the coming months, but we're waiting for Samsung to confirm which other devices will be upgraded to this version of the OS.

If you own an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Alpha and live in France, then you should start checking for Android 5.1 Lollipop update. If it shows up on your smartphone, make sure your phone's battery is at least 50% charged and that your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
