Last month, the yet to be announced Oppo R7s smartphone popped up in the Chinese regulatory agency website TENAA, suggesting the company would soon launch this model on the market.

Oppo already offers three versions of the R7, but none of them packs a 5.5-inch display. The standard Oppo R7 comes with a 5-inch FHD display, the R7 Lite sports a 5-inch HD display, while the R7 Plus has a much larger 6-inch FHD panel.

Well, soon the R7s model with a 5.5-inch display will be made official, during the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, which is scheduled to take place in Dubai between October 18 and 22.

According to GSM Arena, Oppo teases that the phone will arrive with a full-metal unibody and will take advantage of a camera that will deliver improved photo-taking capabilities (compared to its predecessor).

As we mentioned about, the Oppo R7s is bound to make an appearance with a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution and will utilize the services of a Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.3GHz.

Furthermore, the Oppo R7s will pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. On the back, there should be a 13MP camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while up in front will live an 8MP selfie shooter.

The Oppo R7s should ship out with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box with the company’s own ColorOS 2.1 on top
