Bad news for Oppo fans, as the Chinese company seems to have delayed its next flagship smartphone, the Find 9.

Oppo Find 9 was expected to be released on the market by the end of this year, but according to a new report coming directly from China, the handset maker wants to be sure the smartphone will be able to compete with other flagships in the same price range.

This is why Find 9 must be delayed until next year when Qualcomm will launch its Snapdragon 820 chipset that packs one of the most powerful mobile CPUs soon to be available on the market.

So, even though the smartphone has been delayed, at least we know it will come with a more powerful hardware configuration.

Speaking of which, Oppo Find 9 is rumored to pack no less than 4GB of RAM and an impressive 21-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which should feature 4K video recording among other things.

Also, the flagship smartphone should boast a stunning 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

For the time being, we know Oppo Find 9 will ship with Android Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but we don't rule out the fact that the smartphone might come preloaded with Marshmallow.

So there you have it, folks, if you planned on getting Oppo's new flagship smartphone, you will now have to wait a few more months, but it's for the better.
