OnePlus’ next flagship is due out soon enough

Just a few days ago, we told you that Chinese company OnePlus revealed an interesting detail about its anticipated next-generation flagship smartphone.

The producing company itself confirmed in the past that the OnePlus 2 would come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset on the inside (the second, improved version, mind you). Well, from the same source, we find out that the smartphone will also take advantage of a new USB Type-C port.

And now we can even show you a few images showcasing the OnePlus Two’s USB Type-C cable, which will apparently arrive in a flashing red color (as seen at Mobilissimo).

USB Type-C is the new standard in the mobile world and most OEMs are slowly moving towards it. The port is reversible, boasts significantly faster data speeds and offers higher power outputs than your normal USB adapter.

We’ve been hearing rumors that Samsung’s upcoming beast, the Galaxy Note 5, will also make a debut into the wild with a USB Type-C port, but who knows, maybe OnePlus will beat Samsung to the punch in bringing out the OnePlus 2.

The Galaxy Note 5 is supposed to be unveiled, as per Samsung’s usual schedule, at IFA 2015 in Berlin. As for the OnePlus 2, word on the street says we should expect to see it arrive in July or maybe in August.
